I've been experiencing one of those artist block thing lately and your encouragement definitely helps a bunch!
Well, I did actively attempt to digitally repaint some of my sketches and 2 of them turned out really fine. However it takes up a lot of time and since I'll be facing the A-Levels next year I kinda took a break and stopped for now. I suppose I won't be too productive before the exam's finished...

I am laying down my "art-spirit" for a while as well, in order to get back into programming (i used to do that when i was younger).
I'm doing that to get prepared for education which involves IT and Design (making pretty apps if you will
).
Unfortunately, getting a job in The Netherlands is all about having official papers which indicate your academic level. So in a way, it's quite necessary.
I'm sure you'll regain your old artist-flow, because, in the end all artists always do... which at the same time equals the damnation of following the artist his/her entire life
But it's better than hanging in front of the TV like All Bundy

Indeed! I see the over-emphasis on academic certificates is not just limited to Hong Kong but also everywhere else... Such a tragic development of job distribution in society.
As much as we hate it I suppose we'll all have to just get along with fate and try to get those blasted papers. But artist will always be artists at heart comes what may and I'm sure we'll all be picking up our beloved crafts once again in no time.
I wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors and oh I can't wait to see your apps, you gotta tell me about them once they're done!
